The role of DC Safety Manager

You will be managing Health & Safety within the Lymedale Distribution Centre. Constantly reviewing to ensure that all policies and procedures are fully up to date and implemented as a minimum meeting legal requirement, whilst working towards best practice and remaining commercial.

To work with the Group Health & Safety Manager to maintain and develop standards within Lymedale Distribution Centre, including training, audits and risk assessments and providing support, direction, and the tools for the management team to ensure safe working practices are understood and embedded.

Although this role reports to the Group Health and Safety Manager the role will need to work closely with the team in Lymedale and be able to provide commercial advise whilst maintaining a high safety standard. It is important that the role is fully embedded within the team to be able to understand the business requirements and offer the necessary technical support.
