We’re looking for a Regional Print Reporter, reporting to the Regional Print Editors, you will ensure the digital content feed used for our excellent newspapers is supplemented with content specifically for our print audience.
The role is attached to a specific region and its group of titles - however, it also requires to be prepared to switch focus rapidly across the whole regionals print portfolio according to immediate needs.
We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

This role is home based and we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK.
What will the role involve?
You will write and develop stories, with great pictures and engaging video. You will deliver a fast turnaround on stories about local communities which engage as many readers as possible with exclusive stories that set us apart from our rivals. All while ensuring that every piece of content is researched and published in accordance with the Editor’s Code of practice. You will be confident using a range of digital formats and quickly identify breaking news by utilising social media.
Who are we looking for?
An experienced journalist with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge, you have the ability to be bold, confident and to be comfortable meeting people face to face, developing a strong contacts book.
You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’re social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and ideally you're familiar with newsroom analytics and content management systems. You’re flexible, inquisitive and are on the pulse of what makes a great story!
