The Accounts Commission is the independent public body which oversees the performance and spending within Scotland’s 32 councils, 30 health and social care joint integration boards and other joint boards. We play a significant role in Scottish public life helping to ensure that public money is spent properly, efficiently and effectively. We are responsible for the audit of all local authorities in Scotland.
We particularly welcome applications from women, disabled people, LGBT+ people, people from ethnic minority communities and people aged under 50.

You must be able to demonstrate evidence of one of:
Time commitment: The Chair will be expected to devote 10.5 days per month and Members to devote at least 2.5 days per month. This will include attending meetings of the Accounts Commission and committees. Ordinary meetings take place once a month and normally occupy a full day.
Length of appointment term: The appointments will be for up to four years.
Location: The Accounts Commission is located at 102 West Port, Edinburgh, where it normally holds its meetings.
