Are you a skilled Web Developer with a strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript? Do you have an eye for design and a passion for creating visually stunning websites? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Web Developer to join our team at Red Rocket. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our websites, ensuring it meets the needs of our users whilst also meeting the highest standards of quality and performance.
Please note that this position is for maternity cover, but there is a possibility of full-time employment in the future.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining websites using HTML, CSS and Javascript best practices and frameworks.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure a seamless user experience to a WCAG 2.1 standard.
- Optimising website performance and ensuring it is compatible with a range of devices and browsers
- Implementing new features and functionality as required for clients
- Ensuring website security and protecting against potential threats
- Staying up to date with the latest web development technologies and trends
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Familiarity with the WordPress CMS, Mailchimp and Monday.com
- Experience with a range of javascript libraries such as Greensock and Anime.js
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other designers and developers from across the business
- Comfortable talking to clients and senior stakeholders about design and development
- Experience with optimisation and performance tuning
- Strong attention to details and a passion for creating visually appealing websites
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to have but not essential
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, XD and Photoshop
- Understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
