About the role
We are currently recruiting a Web Developer to join QinetiQ at RAF Waddington. You will have the opportunity to be part of the software engineering discipline supporting the use and development of a WEB based Data Portal.
What will I be doing?
You will report directly to a delivery manager and your duties will include:
Creating new document hosting areas
Uploading documents
Liaising with customers
Completing corresponding checks across systems
Creating standalone portal installation kits and update kits
Completing fault rectification activities
Completing new system development activities including subject matter expert involvement during agile development sprints
What do I need?
You will have a recognised qualification in any of the following areas or a minimum of 3 years of relevant and demonstrable experience:
Software Engineering.
WEB Development.
IT Support.
Experience with any of the following would be desirable but not essential as training can be provided:
Utilising JSON data structures.
Authoring XSL / XSLT and exploiting XML.
The ability to create light-weight user interfaces.
Knowledge and experience of the installation and configuration of web technologies, for example Apache Tomcat and Apache Solr.
Use of HTML and the REACT framework for JavaScript.
Knowledge and experience of requirements engineering and testing techniques
Knowledge of the installation and configuration of proxy servers.
Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems including exploitation of Hyper-V functionality.
You must be able to work from RAF Waddington on a daily basis.
