Title: Video Editor

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Location: Newcastle-Under-Lyme (Staffordshire)

Onsite – leading to Hybrid (3 days office 2 days remote working)

Rota: Monday – Friday Time: 9am – 5pm

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Term: Full Time / Permanent

Innov8 Agency are proud to be recruiting an experienced video editor for our high-end and innovative video and media production client based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The organisation is a well-known media and production organisation with a host of established clients nationwide and internationally including Dubai.

About the client

Based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme they are an experienced high-end, full-service video production company. They are really excited to be expanding their team to include a Video editor to take the lead with their portfolio of national and international clients.

Post Outline

The role-holder must be a team player and will be tasked with conceptualising and managing the delivery of edited video, film and digital content to support the businesses’ core campaigns and services.

This role is suitable for someone who is able to hit the ground running (with minimal supervision), and who wants to experience working on a focus of corporate work, however also some Commercial and event video editing (weddings etc). Training and development and opportunities for progression are available.

Duties and responsibilities

Main Duties:

· Attend & film trips nationwide and abroad, networking events, high-value events, dinners, property events, product launches, and other corporate activities for clients.

· Edit Vlog videos

· Video post-production and editing (to a high level)

· Editing marketing videos which will be used in marketing campaigns

· Editing video content for various channels, including TV, Online, social media platforms and marketing channels – from 5-second social shots to cinematic adverts, documentaries and films.

· Developing ideas and concepts specific to video editing to be implemented into the campaigns and projects.

· Work alongside Managing Director team to offer specialist knowledge of video editing.

· Responsibility for post-production and video/audio editing process of all projects working with project managers, peers and freelance staff to meet deadlines.

· Help to continually refine and adhere to a set of brand guidelines for the client social media platforms.

· Working closely with freelancers, contractors, suppliers and other members of the team to best understand how to execute content across multiple platforms – evaluating what works, what doesn’t, and ways to improve.

· Regular meetings with the managing director and clients to ensure projects deadlines are met.

· You should maintain a clear and detailed knowledge of the industry trends, best practices, and all prominent channels.

Person specification

Essential Criteria

· 2-3 years experience video editing in a commercial environment

· Creative Flair

· Filming & Editing

· Post-production

· Own equipment is preferred (home set-up for the remote editing element)

· Team player

· Proven track record of a broad range of skills and expertise in all areas of video editing

· Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, especially Premiere Pro, Audition & After Effects (other software expertise considered).

· Strong creative eye with an understanding of good design and creative fundamentals.

· Ability to take a concept and add your own expertise to bring it to life through engaging videography and video editing.

· Experience of organising a content archive to ensure content captured can be quickly found and repurposed when necessary.

· Experience of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment.

· Ambitious for personal growth and financial freedom

· Excited by travel abroad, access to high value events and celebrities

· Must be able to provide a portfolio or links to previous work of a commercial and professional standard.

Desirable Criteria

· Experience of working in a media agency or marketing agency

· Proven understanding of media law, copyright and usage rights.

· Proven understanding of brand and corporate guidelines.

· Experience of sourcing and licensing music and audio to be used on various platforms.

· Expertise in animation
