Alpadia Language Schools provides English, French and German summer courses for juniors across Europe.

Alpadia also offers all-year round adult schools in Montreux, Berlin, Freiburg and Lyon, teaching French and German.

We are currently recruiting English Language Teachers on a fixed term summer contract.

Your role:

• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students in our care
• Teach English as a foreign language to young students from other countries
• Ensure academic EFL tuition appropriate to a summer school environment
• Assist the Camp Manager/Senior Teacher with placement and progress tests
• Ensure weekly paperwork is completed accurately (lesson plans, registers, records of classes)
• Attend and participate in daily staff meetings
• Attend and participate in weekly workshops
• Ensure adequate preparation for all teaching sessions
• Maintain proper levels of student discipline, safety and welfare

Your profile:

• First Degree or equivalent (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework) - Essential
• CELTA, Trinity Cert. TESOL or equivalent - Essential
• Excellent communication skills - Essential
• Ability to be flexible and adapt where required - Essential
• Excellent organizational skills - Essential
• Ability to work effectively under pressure - Essential
• Ability to work well in a team - Essential
• Teaching experience in holiday camps or in similar structures - Desirable

Location of our course centre and dates of commitment:

• Brighton Roedean School
• 03.07.23 – 11.08.23 (shorter contracts are available)
• Monday - Friday
• Morning (08:30 - 12:30) teaching with 15-19 hours contact time per week

Miscellaneous:

• All staff employed will be required to provide / undergo an Enhanced DBS check (and provide overseas conduct certificates where applicable)
• This can be a residential or non-residential position.
• A residential position includes 7 nights accommodation and 3 meals a day (for the duration of the contract) provided on site
