Local authority in the Nottinghamshire area are currently looking for a new Street Scene Manager in their environmental services department to be committed to making the Council's commitment to making the district cleaner, safer and a greener place to live, work and visit.

Purpose of the role:

The Street Scene Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of an exemplary district wide street cleansing and grounds maintenance service, taking a leading role within the Council, in providing operational drive in an effective, professional and efficient manner.

The Street Scene Manager will have overall responsibility for the co-ordination, planning and day to day management of the services under his/her control, with day to day responsibility for associated budgets, staff, vehicles, plant and equipment and all health and safety matters relating to the service.

The client is looking for a candidate with experience in managing a team of front line operatives, experience of managing operational teams in a street cleansing or grounds maintenance environment and has an understanding of both areas.
