“I’ve worked for North Yorkshire Council Adult
Services as a qualified social worker since 2017. Since this time I have
worked within a number of teams which have all been supportive and nurturing. I
have been supported to complete my Practice Educator, ASYE Assessor
and Best Interests Assessor training as well as in house and commissioned
training. The council as an employer offers a number of perks but for me the
flexible working system has to be one of the best. It allows me to be
autonomous in my time management resulting in the ability to tackle everyday
life as and when this might be needed while balancing my work load. Management
have always been supportive and understanding and encourage wellbeing and
self-care.”

Our Mental Health Social Work roles present great opportunities
for those who are looking for diversity in their work. You will act as
Safeguarding Enquiry Officer, undertake Mental Capacity Assessment and Best
Interests decision making, and be responsible for complex case management.
There may also be the opportunity for you to train as an Approved Mental Health
Professional as posts become available.
Collaborative partnerships will be key to the role. You will
benefit from routine supervision from a dedicated line manager, with
opportunity for constructive feedback and reflection on practice.
