Job description

Steel City Interactive, a leading PC and console game development studio based in Sheffield, are seeking a talented Social Media and Community Manager to join their team after the release of their multiplayer boxing game, "Undisputed".

The studio are a creative bunch, actively generating ideas and bringing collective skills, experiences, and storytelling to their innovative creative process. This role will require you to be on-site at the studio.

As the Social Media and Community Manager, you will develop and nurture new connections between the game teams and their players. You’ll also create and implement community engagement programs, whilst creating content and speaking with their player base in forums and other social media platforms.

Your responsibilities…
  • Monitor, manage, and grow the online presence across various social media channels and sites, including Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Steam forums
  • Writing copy that will appear in marketing materials, blogs, websites, and social channels
  • Monitor and analyse community sentiment and share insights with the development team to help steer their early access updates
  • Support game content release and updates by organising patch notes and updating their website
  • Collaborate with external partners on various social content programs
  • Identify and building relationships with key members and content creators within the community
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 1 or more years’ experience managing a gaming community
  • Solid copywriting ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on the one-to-many conversations necessary
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
  • Collaborative approach mentality, being detail orientated
  • Ability to work independently with some direction
