Job Summary
Our team based at our brand-new, flagship office at 150 Holborn in London, is looking to hire an Associate, Public Health Engineering.
The Associate forms a key part of the Introba leadership team and is responsible for managing his/her respective Project Design Team. The Associate provides leadership, technical support, and management resources essential to Introba for design decision-making and team management accountability.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Associate:
- Works with the Introba’s Leadership Team to control and coordinate business development, sales/marketing, team targets, team personnel, technical design and related activities
- Develops, establishes, and administers procedures and systems pertaining to team management matters
- Prepares workload, sales forecasts and team resources/schedule for administrative and managerial functions
- Serves as the principle liaison with selected clients or major projects
- Upholds and maintains Introba’s design standards and will be responsible for engineering, specifications, documentation, standardization, quality assurance, cost and value analysis and the broader aspects of building services (plus role of Managing Consultant as required)
- Will be fully responsible and accountable for their design team.
- Reviews staffing regularly and distributes tasks effectively and consistent with staff skill sets.
- Works closely with Human Resources and make recommendations for staff hiring, terminations, and issues related to performance discipline.
General Responsibilities
Marketing
- Represent Introba at meetings with project clients and other project stakeholders as required
- Company representative at related association meetings, dealing with the city, provincial, state and federal officials
People
- Provide the Management Team with staff performance criteria and information on all design staff
- Meet regularly with all team members to ensure issues are identified and action plans are in place
- Keep track of design team vacation time and schedules
- Recommend training requirements to Human Resources
- Provide input to Human Resources on all design team employment issues.
Financial
- Provide workload forecasting as new projects are secured and provide progress analysis regarding prospective unsecured projects (integrating efforts of the Marketing Team)
- Ensure Deltek Financial system is updated with project plans on a regular basis
- Recommend distribution of new work based on staff availability as established by the team workload requirements
Technical
- Promote a performance focused design approach centered around low energy and carbon design
- Train staff in all phases of design process to ensure continuation of technical design operation when absent from the office or when staff are on vacation
- Utilise leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction
- Effect and implement programs to improve the quality of our service, products and systems to meet client's requirements and expectations and to minimize costs and maximize the company's competitive position
- Instill the concept of quality being the responsibility of every design team member
- Promote quality issues with all members and in particular ensures that the quality control function is effectively performed
- Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents
- Effect studies to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions required to remedy deviations impairing desired standards
Qualifications
- Specific building systems design experience, inclusive of Net Zero low carbon projects

- Professional Engineer (CEng, PEng, PE or equivalent)
