CAD CAM Programmer

Salary - £25,000 to £35,000
Location - Unit 1, Gerard, Tamworth, Staffordshire B79 7UW

Reports to – Steve White (Operations Director) Ben Carter (Head Of Design)

Job Purpose - To aid in the daily operations process through programming our CNC machines using CAD / CAM software

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within our design team using Alpha Cam to program + nest case designs
  • Work from a specification sheet to draw and convert into 2D CAD using AlphaCAM
  • Nest and program CAD drawings into a various sheets of material using multiple tools to allow CNC machinists to cut. We have X2 8 tool change machines and x1 16 tool change machine
  • Have the ability to read and understand design drawing in metric measurements

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our production list to allow work to flow through the cutting department
  • Laise with our sales and design teams to ensure production schedules and customer demand is being met
  • Have the ability to use programs such as AutoCAD/solidworks/sketch-up/alpha
  • Proactively contribute to develop processes to improve quality and efficiency
  • Being able to work under pressure to meet customer expectations and deadlines
  • Ensuring that appropriate process and procedures are adhered to in order to maintain high quality
  • Working with customers F2F and over email to ensure designs and specifications meet expectations and obtain sign off before proceeding
  • Aid in current and future designs of our flight cases
  • Adhere to all FCW health and safety regulations
  • Work to specific daily KPI targets

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
