We are looking for an Operations Manager who keeps us well informed with regular, accurate data. Someone who is organised, uses their own initiative and gets on well with everyone! This role will support the invaluable work delivered by the team at Kingfisher, and is directly linked to the priorities of the school for the children and families we serve. It is a crucial role in providing high quality business support administration to ensure the smooth running of the school.

Are you ready to help equip children with the knowledge and power to make a difference, to be different and embrace difference?

We are a two-form entry academy with a high FSM and Pupil Premium.

The Trust and staff work together to give our children the very best start they could have.

At Kingfisher Primary we will trust, support and challenge you to empower our future generations, helping them to achieve their full potential and become unique well-rounded citizens.

If you are enthusiastic, dynamic, up for a challenge, determined and want to have a positive impact on the lives of our children - then fill out an application. Tell me what you can bring to our community, what makes you unique and why you are the Operations Manager I would entrust to support Kingfisher children.

All our children have the potential to reach their goals, and this is a unique opportunity for you to join a supportive, hardworking, caring team and be part of their journey. You ‘MUST’ meet our amazing pupils and speak to our staff about what Kingfisher means to them. Immerse yourself in our daily life and you will know immediately if you have what it takes to be part of our team. Every day is different, but every day is rewarding – we notice the positives and celebrate the differences. We inspire children to be scientists, deep sea divers, entrepreneurs, you name it! But most importantly we want our children to be unique, well-rounded citizens who will make a difference in our community in the future.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has experience of providing administrative support in a busy office environment and line managing a team
  • Has excellent IT skills, with the confidence to use Microsoft programmes such as Excel and learn new school systems and processes
  • Passionately believes that all children can achieve, no matter what their starting point, background or needs
  • Can work autonomously, prioritise conflicting demands whilst managing a diverse and demanding workload
  • Is highly organised, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of contacts effectively and professionally
  • Is proactive and flexible and approaches challenges pragmatically to ensure the best outcome for children, families and the wider academy team
  • Has attention to detail, and can utilise systems and data to find the best way to successfully support projects and tasks, whilst working in conjunction with the Senior Leaders of the school and Astrea Regional Operations Manager.

In return we offer:

  • Excellent CPD opportunities
  • A strong caring ethos and supportive team
  • The opportunity to make a real difference
  • Enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • The opportunity to work 41 weeks per year, 38 weeks of term time, 5 Inset Days, plus two additional weeksAn induction package
  • A school focused wellbeing approach which prioritises staff wellbeing
  • Networking opportunities across the wider Astrea Academy Trust team.

We welcome visits to the school to experience the atmosphere, ethos and approach and to have an opportunity to meet the children and staff who make Kingfisher a great place to be.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch to arrange a visit to the school or to find out more – office@astrea-kingfisher.org

If you are joining us from another school, academy or trust we recognise your continuous service date with confirmation from your current employer. This can positively impact a number of entitlements, including increased annual holiday payments which represent an increase in salary. This can be discussed in more detail at interview.

Astrea Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to satisfactory background checks including references and enhanced DBS checks.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. Interviews will be held as soon as possible after the closing date.
