Due to service expansion Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit two Band 6 Nurses to work within the Children in Care team.

This is an exciting post which will be ideal for someone wanting to provide high quality proactive health care to children and young people. This is to enhance the health and wellbeing of young people in care. We need an individual who has determination, creativity, has innovative ideas and passion towards providing excellent healthcare for this population.

You will need to have knowledge of the health needs of children and young people in care and be able to deliver a high standard of clinical care and assess and plan in relation to meeting health inequalities and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

We are looking for someone who can communicate and collaborate in an engaging way with young people. We want some who can maintain emotional resilience and remain child-centred in the face of challenging behaviour. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills are a must as you will be working in an environment where increasing engagement with young people in their health choices is vital. We want someone with good professional practice who wants to make a difference to these young people's long-term health outcomes.

Previous community experience is desirable but not essential.
