We are looking for a wood machinist to join a bespoke manufacturing company in the Colchester area. You will have a keen passion for a variety of woodworking projects and styles. This is a varied role ideal for someone looking to progress their joinery career.

You will be responsible for creating the cutting lists from drawings to then cut and machine them using the correct joinery processes.

Salary will be dependent on experience, between £12-15ph. The company are open to candidates with a range of skill level, providing you have experience using joinery equipment and can read from drawings.

Duties include:

• Using machinery such as panel saws, rip saws, spindle moulders, planers
• Using CNC machinery (training can be provided)
• Working from cutting lists
• Manufacturing bespoke products for a range of industries
• Veneer work as required (training can be provided)

Skills required:

• Experience using machines such as saws, thicknesses and planers
• Understanding of timber technology
• Reading from drawings and cutting lists

Training on specific machines and CNC can be given, so long as you have got the other skills required.
