What you’ll be doing:

  • Continually improving safety culture on site
  • Leading by example in all SHE matters, always acting in an ethical manner and with integrity and impartiality
  • Carrying out Safety, Health or Environmental tasks typically associated with the role of a SHE Advisor or assigned by the SHE Manager
  • Maintaining the management systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and SMM whilst working with the SHE team to ensure the business remains compliant
  • Supporting the site with information for leadership engagement, supporting internal and external audit programs
  • Developing new tools and ways of working to drive improvement in SHE processes

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • NEBOSH National Diploma in occupational Health and Safety held or equivalent qualification i.e., NVQ level 5 (or working towards)
  • Proficient in the use of IT tools (Microsoft) to manipulate data and support the development of management reporting
  • Experienced in the use of root cause analysis tools in support of accident and incident investigation and the implementation of improvements to prevent reoccurrence
  • Understanding of conducting management system audits and a working knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001 management systems

Desirable

  • Engineering or maintenance qualification
  • ISO 14001/45001 Auditor trained
  • Training qualification e.g., PTTLS Level 3

The SHE team:

As an HSE Advisor on the small but dedicated SHE team you will be reporting into the SHE Manager. You will be involved in the business working towards Net Zero and responsible for Occupational Health and Safety whilst using the SLAM (Stop, Look, Assess, Manage) technique. This role will allow you to work with a range of teams both internally and externally. There will also be opportunities for personal development available to you.
