Proptech Start-up - Financial Controller - our client is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and profitable £10m+ start-up business in the PropTech and property services sector, growing at 30% year-on-year.

Its state-of-the-art cloud-based compliance management software is a market leader setting new standards in the field.

To complement this exciting growth, the company is seeking to appoint an ambitious qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA) as Group Financial Controller.

You will play a significant role in developing the financial reporting and management information function for a high growth business.

Reporting to the CFO, this Group Financial Controller role, will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of the day-to-day financial reporting and financial control of the group overseeing and managing the bookkeeping team.
  • Production of high quality financial and management information, focusing on preparation of monthly management accounts for the group.
  • Provide variance analysis, insight and commentary to decision makers throughout the business and the Board.
  • Responsible for tracking and analysing company performance against budget, key KPIs and company objectives.
  • Lead the group's statutory reporting and audits and manage tax affairs including Corporation Tax & VAT returns.
  • Play a key role in improving and developing strong financial controls appropriate for the business now and evolving with the business as it continues to scale.
  • Once established in the role you will increasingly work with the CFO in preparing budgets and strategic plans, maintaining financial forecasts for the business on an ongoing basis

This Group Financial Controller role requires a technically strong qualified accountant with a dynamic and enthusiastic approach in order to work closely with the Operations and Product teams and the Board, as well as a hands-on sleeves-rolled-up approach to financial control and reporting

You should be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIMA + at least 2 years PQE) with an impressive educational background and a track record of high achievement. You should have excellent financial and management reporting capability and experience of statutory financial reporting and a good knowledge of UK GAAP (from Practice and / or Industry).
