Job Title: Senior Project Professional – Delivery (Site & Facilities)

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Salary: Circa £40,000 + incentives

What you’ll be doing:

• End-to-end project management of diverse projects

• Managing, monitoring and controlling project activities and schedules to support their effective delivery throughout all phases of the project lifecycle

• Capture and review all requirements associated with projects and ensure all impact assessments are conducted and identified as appropriate

• Maintaining project documentation, identifying and expediting actions to respond to issues and deviations from contract

• Supporting the resolution of problems and issues to facilitate development of timely and effective solutions

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders over a variety of disciplines, up to and including Senior Management

• Day-to-day management of Principal and Sub-Contractors throughout construction phases of projects

• Producing financial applications to support project funding and subsequent management of project budgets

• Appraising method statements and risk assessments, incorporating input from key stakeholders

• Facilitating design reviews, aspect and impact assessments and regular project meetings throughout the duration of projects

• Controlling, monitoring and managing projects through site implementation phase, including cost, schedule and quality

• Communication, prioritisation and planning of own workload and key project deliverables through stakeholder engagement and team meetings

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• Experience of using Project Management & Planning processes to deliver on commitments

• Experience of Health and Safety/Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations

• The ability to manage projects and liaise with contractors

• Experience in collaborating across functions and wider teams

• Contractual, commercial and/or financial acumen

Desirable

• Qualification in Construction or Engineering or Project Management

• Experience working in Construction or engineering/industrial environments

• Health and Safety Management Qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH)

The team:

As a Senior Project Professional, you will be working within the Site & Facilities Major Projects Department and will be responsible for the refurbishment and construction of existing and new facilities across an extensive industrial site.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a dynamic project team. You will have the freedom to make decisions over the delivery of a wide variety of construction, engineering and civil related projects ranging from £5k to multi-million.
