Job Title: Cashier and Post Assistant

Salary: £20,048-£22,036 pro-rata

Location: Within the London Borough of Bromley - Office Based

Contract type: Permanent / Part Time - Monday & Wednesday 8.30 am - 4.30 (15 hours per week)

The Vacancy:

This opportunity is to provide Cashier and Postal duties on behalf of our London Borough of Bromley Client.

The main purpose of the role is to deal with the internal and external post requirements and Cashiers duties.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • To open and distribute post to internal departments.
  • To collect post and dispatch post to meet the LBB post room requirements.
  • To prepare and replenish float paid into payments receiving equipment.
  • To input, reconcile payments made in cash, cheques and by credit or debit card against reports.
  • To prepare the cash and cheques for banking.
  • To investigate unidentified payments received and process to correct accounts.
  • To deal with the control and governance requirements of the above functions
  • General business support and administrative duties
  • Assist with other team functions as required

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Good level of general education: GCSE English and Maths Grade at C or
  • above.
  • Experience of completing cash and banking reconciliations
  • Can communicate clearly through correspondence, in person and dealings on the telephone.
  • Able to produce high quality and accurate documentation
  • A good level of Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to handle yourself in a confident and professional manner at all times
  • Flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Able to work on own initiative and to agreed targets by prioritising and planning
