Wates Group are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our Construction Midlands team in Birmingham, to successfully secure ongoing business opportunities in accordance with the strategic business plan.

Key Accountabilities will include:

• 
  Attend Strategic Customer Management (SCM) meetings, ensuring business unit directors are supported in the content and development of relevant SCM plans
• Maintain up to date knowledge, sources and understanding of the market and keep business unit advised of relevant information
• Manage and organise PR & promotional activity including network events in accordance with the Marketing Plan and SCM plan
• Provide support to prequalification documentation

• Support the customer satisfaction and feedback process incorporating the implementation of action plans

We are looking for a knowledgeable and focused business development lead with previous management experience within the construction industry and a good understanding of the local market is preferred.

To be successful in the role you will have the ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels and across all platforms, particularly during meetings and presentations, as well as be confident negotiator.
