Business Development Manager – The Mezz - AO Arena, Manchester

The AO Arena is undergoing a £50MIL redevelopment, with the most exciting new hospitality spaces and packages to suit all businesses in the North West. Role Profile:

This role will work as part of the Hospitality Team at the AO Arena Manchester, responsible for generating new business, converting leads, and increasing revenue for high value premium hospitality products across our portfolio with a particular focus on our new product The Mezz


The key focus will be on new business prospecting and working on our brand-new high value opportunities to consistently deliver and exceed sales targets and KPI’s.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals across a portfolio of high value hospitality products.
  • Engage and prospect new clients through creative lead generation and proactive outbound sales activity including cold calling, LinkedIn and new customer appointments.
  • Qualifying leads generated by campaigns and reporting back to ensure the success of the campaigns and marketing activity
  • Identifying and targeting potential customers providing leads where appropriate to the Senior Business Development Sales Manager / Head of Sales?
  • Providing regular sales and activity reports in a timely manner including sales, pipelines and conversion rates.
  • Ensure that all hospitality sold is contracted and invoiced correctly and promptly and liaising regularly with finance to ensure that all invoices are paid.
  • Delivery of sales from tactical sales campaigns with clear defined targets and metrics.
  • Build creative and innovative proposals and campaigns that will drive additional revenue across all products.
  • Attend external events with the purpose of selling, networking, gathering sales prospects and representing AO Arena Manchester.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of corporate client incentives, gifts and rewards and be prepared to host client events.

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Proven track record of delivering growth and exceeding sales targets in a related industry/role
  • Strong understanding of a structured sales approach
  • Excellent network within Manchester and surrounding areas

Skills:

  • Strong negotiator and influencer
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Premium Seating Market
  • Creative, energetic and innovative
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of social media
  • Ability to creatively source and target new clients
  • Proactive and positive approach to sales, target driven
  • Ability to produce accurate updates on prospecting, sales performance and pipelines
  • Attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Power Point, Excel and Microsoft Office

Experience:

Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role.
