Title: Back End Software Engineer

Location: Mansfield, 3 days p/w WFH

Salary: up to £55K

My client who specialises in software consultancy for clients in the medical, healthcare, defence, security, and secure communications sectors is expanding their engineering team due to increased project demand.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Java and C++ or C# and be keen to work in a sector which improves the lives of millions of people worldwide.

You will be working on exciting projects which supports worldwide customers, be a key player in improving the customer journey and have the following responsibilities:
Making tweaks and changes to new and existing products.
Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and product owners to understand the customer journey and improve workflows for successful product delivery.
Working with a multi-disciplinary tech team and sharing ideas / new ways of working.
Working on cutting edge software and systems which is designed with an AI / machine learning focus.

The skills we are looking for:
Java (at least 3 years' experience)
C# or C++
SQL / Databases
GIT
Jira
Agile Methodologies including SCRUM / Sprints

It will be beneficial if you have:
An interest in AI / machine learning
Experience working in medical, healthcare, military / MOD, defence or security sectors in a software or technical role
Educated to a degree level or have transferable qualifications
Enjoy solving problems and communicating with your peers
