My client - a reputable organisation in the Financial Services industry are looking for a AV and Desktop Support Technician- join their site in London remotely on an initial 6-month contract!
The successful candidate for the AV and Desktop Support Technician - Financial Services 6-month contract role in London/ remote will fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Project lead AV deployment and equipment refresh in all EMEA offices
- Establish a support routine for EMEA
- Support, train and document AV meeting set up across our EMEA offices
- Collaborate with Front of House team to track, schedule and coordinate room set up
- Manage routine daily testing and checks of all meetings rooms including testing meeting room systems prior to clients' arrival
- BAU support of the AV/VC facilities including sound, projection, lighting, web streaming, video conferencing to guarantee audio/video endpoint connections, Computer or presentation equipment functionality
- Setup and break down portable Video Teleconferencing and presentation equipment
- Manage the maintenance and repairs of all meeting room equipment through our incumbent supplier.
- Provide support on an individual basis to users at all levels of seniority
- Prepare detail reports for impacted event (RCA)
- Document instances of AV equipment failure, repair, installation, and removal.
- Desktop support, incident and request management (Secondary role)
- Equipment Asset tracking
- Suggest innovative ideas and/or processes to improve operational quality.
- Create processes to effectively troubleshoot AV and VC issues onsite and over the phone
To be considered for the AV and Desktop Support Technician - Financial Services contract role the candidate must present evidence of the following:
- Proven work experience of AV/VC
- Proven experience leading the new deployment of AV
- 2 years+ experience as Desktop Support Engineer or Support Technician in a corporate environment
- Experience with MS Teams, Zoom and Blue jeans (Advantageous)
- Experience with Polycom hardware
- Experience working in an enterprise-class service management system (ServiceNow preferred)
- Good technical knowledge of AV/VC technologies
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Experience creating and governing process and procedures
- MS Windows, MS Office, Exchange, Active Directory (O365) Android/iPhone OS
- ITIL knowledge a plus
- Energetic and motivated
- Have exceptional organisational skills and self-motivated.
- Have highly effective oral and written communication skills
- More exposure supporting Executive (C-suite)/VIP support
- 6 month contract with high probability of extension.
- £200- £350 p/day
