We're recruiting for an Academic Support Administrator (Part time) to work at our client of ours based in Newcastle City Centre until the end of August 2023 -potential of a contract extension.
£11.98 per hour + holiday pay
22 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday 8.30am - 5pm. Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
Based on campus.
Main duties of the role:
- Contribute to the provision of a professional support service by ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and by responding positively to feedback
- Provide guidance and advice to academic staff and partners on the application of University policies and procedures for a designated portfolio of programmes. Areas of work will vary to reflect University priorities but may include one or more of the following non-exhaustive list:
o assessment brief approval
o support for assessment boards, from marks receipt to the release of results
o co-ordination of start of year activities including programme handbooks, the set-up of tutor records and enrolment
o support for student staff programme committees and the facilitation of good practice in the programme
o support for partner organisations in the application of University regulations and procedures
o support for Degree Apprenticeship employers in the application of University regulations and procedures
o support for student work based learning clinics.
- Manage database and other records in support of these activities.
- Be responsible for liaison and communication with colleagues in faculties and other services or partners in relation to these areas.
- Act as secretary to assessment board and programme management committees and other sub-committees and project/task groups as required; progress and monitor actions and priorities arising.
- Work with Academic Support colleagues and contribute to the wider activity of the Team as required.
Person Specification:
- Previous work experience within a Customer Service role / experience of receiving and responding to, enquiries from/to customers.
- Experience using Microsoft and working with large databases
- Team Work
- Take Direction and use own initiative
- Quick learner
